Do you know someone who deserves to be celebrated? We are searching for those who demonstrate that through adversity and courage, light can shine through in so many ways. They may have saved lives or changed lives through their own story or highlighted a local charity by fundraising. Some may have overcome adversity, whilst others demonstrate entrepreneurship, business excellence, or amazing customer service within their Yorkshire communities.
As a people's choice award, you not only choose who is nominated but also who wins!
Nominating your local hero is easy; simply look at the available categories, see which suits them best and complete our 'Nomination Form' below. Please be sure to look through our rules as incomplete nomination forms cannot be considered for the public vote.
Our independent adjudicators will analyse each nomination prior to going to a public vote and reserve the right to disqualify anyone, not in the correct category.

The Rules

Submission Requirements: Only submissions made through this nomination form will be considered. Nominations sent via email, website, or telephone will not be accepted.

Nominee Information: Complete details must be provided for each nominee to allow us to contact them for the voting phase. Each nomination must include a detailed description (up to 200 words) explaining why the nominee deserves to be recognised.

Disqualification Criteria: Nominations that are incomplete, inaccurate, or non-compliant with these rules, or are deemed ineligible for any other reason, will be disqualified.

Category Nomination: You can nominate multiple people in multiple categories, but there is no guarantee that a nominee will be selected for all categories. Adjudicators may reassign nominees to different categories if they deem it more appropriate.

Additional Information: Further information may be requested at any stage of the nomination or voting process. Failure to provide this information will result in disqualification.
